In the past, whenever a vehicle manufacturer introduced a quality upgrade, the part numbers of the matching ATE brake hose lines were changed. So despite the fact that they were to be used for the same applications, our hose lines were generally given a new number. “Managing the part numbers including transferring the part histories meant a great deal of work for our customers – work that we now aim to save them,” says Jens Haala, Product Manager Hydraulics at Continental Automotive Systems Aftermarket. “Because while ATE brake hoses will continue to be upgraded accordingly, in future they will not be given new part numbers. ATE will always supply the latest version of each brake hose under the existing, familiar part number.”
