Chassis & Safety Division -
Facts and Figures

The Chassis & Safety division integrates extensive know-how in the fields of active and passive driving safety, safety and chassis sensor systems as well as chassis components. Electronic and hydraulic brake and chassis control systems, sensors, driver assistance systems, airbag systems, windshield washer systems and occupant detection systems as well as electronic air suspension systems. Chassis & Safety is broken down into five business units:

  • Electronic Brake Systems – e.g. ABS, ESC, control units
  • Hydraulic Brake Systems – e.g. brake calipers, drum brakes, tandem master cylinders
  • Sensorics – e.g. wheel-speed and yaw-rate sensors
  • Passive safety and ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) – e.g. airbag electronics, vehicle environment sensors (camera, radar, Lidar)
  • Chassis Components – e.g. air suspension systems, electric power steering
