Within our corporate vision Environmental Protection is equally ranked beside innovation, quality and economic sustainability. Economic success and ecologic responsibility are considered as complementary rather than contradictive.

The principles of the Automotive Systems division with respect to the Environment, Safety and Health are based on the corporate ESH-Policy Statement which has been derived from the corporate core values as outlined in the BASICS.

The BASICS illustrate how Continental AG has positioned itsself with respect to its stakeholders by expressing the corporations`s vision. The ESH-Policy Statement is applicable throughout the worldwide organization and specifies ESH-related content from the BASICS. Within the Automotive Systems division a further specification of the ESH-Policy Statement has been conducted by development of the mission Environmental & Safety. This mission forms the basis for development of divisional objectives, targets and programmes.
